Partnership Buy-in Assistance
Whenever a doctor or doctors owning a practice plan to add a partner, whether immediately or within a year or two, both the practice share value and the method of buy-in need to be determined. These issues must be addressed so that the changes to the practice bring growth, harmony and fairness without causing problems between the doctors involved. A successful buy-in program must take into account the needs of the new doctor as he or she transitions from employee status to ownership, while at the same time addressing the senior doctor’s needs as well. If the price and the arrangement are fair to both doctors, the odds of partnership
success are great.
